UPGA's program consists of 2 levels of training, level I Basics gives you the foundation to become a skilled groomer, with this level of training you can groom your own dog, friends, & family members pets & will also prepare you for Level II, to become a pet stylist. 

 Pet groomers are in demand by veterinarians, animal hospitals, pet shops, pet boutiques, grooming salons, boarding kennels, pet supply stores, animal shelters, as well as starting your own business.

Instructional program description

  The Proven solutions Level 1 Pet Grooming is designed to teach the fundamentals of pet grooming, using class room style lectures by professionals in their prospective fields (Behaviorist, Accountant, Clipper repair & maintenance shop, etc.) with hands-on,  you will learn how to groom dogs with safe handling techniques.   As well as the opportunity to build a clientelle while working in a booth & earning income during business hours at an actual pet salon.

 Level II will focus on specific breed paterns and recognizing AKC breed standards.  You will retain your booth, continue building clientelle, earning an income and experience working in a pet grooming salon.

  Level I & Level II are each a four week program, each consisting of 36 hours of class room supervision & support, hands on instruction, as well as unlimited use of your booth during shop business hours, & All of the equipment listed.  You will receive a certificate of completion when evaluated & program hours are completed for Level I & Level II.
